Outdoor Education
Exploration Activities:
Environmental Units: Lessons include Animal Study, Aquatic Study, Astronomy, Coke Bottle Rocketry, Environmental Issues, Habitat Study, Nature Hike, Night Hike, Owls, and Tree/Plant Study.
Outdoor Skills Units: Lessons include Archery, Canoeing, Cookout, Fire Building, Orienteering, Service Project, Tomahawks, and Wilderness Survival.
Challenge Course: Programs that stretch your group’s trust and character in order to deepen unity and teamwork.
Recreational Units: Options include Climbing Tower, Disc Golf, Extra Class Time, Floor Hockey, Kickball, Rumble Ball (GaGa Ball), Sand Volleyball, Slip n’ Slide, Soccer, and Swimming (in-season only).

The Bible is filled with great lessons drawn from nature. From the first chapter of Genesis and throughout the Bible, God intentionally uses His creation to teach about Himself and His truths. The purpose of Camp Lone Star’s Outdoor Education program is to partner with schools to create a Christ-centered, creation-focused, interactive camp experience to plant seeds of faith and cultivate Christian leaders in their school. Our goal is to partner with you to create a retreat experience that meets the needs of you and your students.
Session Duration:
We can accommodate schools or groups for a one, two, or three night stay. Outdoor Education groups receive a 20% discount off the standard camp fees.
Our staff will work with you to create a unique experience aimed at reaching your desired outcomes. Choose from our many different camp staff led lessons and activity options or lead your own.
